Cookie Policy

Draft. Written to match how Breadboard Studio works today. Have a lawyer review it before launch.

1.The short version

2.The cookie we set

NameWhat it doesHow long
__Host-bb_sessionKeeps you signed in after you log in or create an account. It holds a random code, not your email or password. It is sent only to breadboardstudio.com, only over HTTPS, and page scripts can’t read it.30 days, or until you log out

This cookie is strictly necessary: without it, you would have to log in on every page. Laws such as the EU and UK cookie rules don’t require consent for cookies like this, but we tell you about it anyway.

3.What the builder saves in your browser

These are not cookies. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are removed when you clear this site’s data in your browser.

NameWhat it holds
bb.store.v1, bb.app.v2Your boards, run history, API keys you add and builder settings
bb.aidemo.v1, bb.aicode.v1The AI usage meter, and a tester access code if you were given one
bb-themeLight or dark mode
bb.cookies.v1That you have seen the cookie notice, so it doesn’t keep appearing

4.Other companies

The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for them and Google receives your IP address. Google Fonts does not set cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set its own strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from attacks.

5.Your choices

Because we only use what the site needs to work, there is nothing to switch off here. You can still block or delete cookies and site data in your browser’s settings; if you block the sign-in cookie, you won’t be able to stay logged in. Show the cookie notice again.

If we ever add optional cookies, such as analytics, we will ask first and update this page.
